about me

Audrey is a student entrepreneur in the graduating class of 2028 at Punahou School. She started crocheting over the early stages of the excruciatingly boring pandemic and has been honing her craft ever since then. Audrey is an Apprentice Student Ambassador for the Keiki Makers Market and a partner for the Lokelani Collective, both programs focused on providing entrepreneurial opportunities for youth. She is also signed up for Ms. Lau's Project Accelerator and has attended communal work sessions, pod meetings, and Q&A with successful professionals in the field of commerce.

In addition to developing her business, Audrey is always active. She competes in springboard diving, runs for varsity in cross country, and performs in aerial silks. She has a cat of her own who is currently plotting to overthrow all government and take over the world.

My favorite cat, Scar, is enjoying the hospitality of Toe Beans and Dreams. She entered the cafe extremely malnourished and undeniably smaller than the other cats, not social, and constantly uncomfortable. Today, Scar has grown a strong love for humans as you can see in this photo of her preparing to lovingly headbutt my hand.

the challenge

Although I may be small, my dream of playing a role in the rising issue of cat overpopulation is certainly not.

Cat overpopulation is a major issue; a single female cat, along with her offspring, can produce around 12 to 18 kittens per year. Over the course of 7 years, one cat and her descendants can theoretically lead to the birth of up to 420,000 kittens if none are spayed or neutered!

This leads to overcrowded shelters, higher rates of euthanasia, and significant strain on animal welfare resources. Additionally, it can contribute to the spread of diseases, disrupt ecosystems by reducing wildlife populations, and increase the pressing issue of stray and feral cats in communities.

Negative impacts such as these will snowball into incredibly detrimental consequences if not addressed, which is why I'm dedicated to spreading awareness and donating 100% of my profit to KAT Charities, the

cat cafe I volunteer at.

Join me and KAT Charities on this journey by purchasing a crocheted keychain, plush, or flower!

Every dollar makes a difference, so let's make the world a better place for our furry friends!

Iroquois the escape artist cat is enjoying himself at the local non-profit cat cafe, Toe Beans and Dreams. He indulges himself with a scrumptious drink, a crocheted cat keychain, and the benefits of a loving community that fights against his species' rapidly accelerating overpopulation crisis.

The KMM isn’t just a space for students to sell merchandise, but a loving community for the next generation to express their creativity and pursue their interests. I participated in my first market over the summer of 2024 relatively recently, and this program has been life-changing. The customers I’ve interacted with, entrepreneurs I’ve befriended, and countless hours spent crocheting my stock are all things I would not have had the opportunity to experience without KMM. I’m grateful for the memories I’ve made and am looking forward to making new ones throughout the rest of my high school years!

After my second market for the KMM, I was contacted by Taylor, the founder and organizer of the organization. She reached out to me to offer the position of Apprentice Student Ambassador. This invitation was an exciting surprise as I had had such fond experiences with the program and it was what propelled me to create a business in the first place. I hope to contribute to the KMM program itself as it was the key factor that motivated me to start this incredible journey, and I'll continue to work hard in order to provide that opportunity to other peers.

what's audrey doing now?

The Lokahi Collective is a local initiative that aims to empower teen entrepreneurs through mentorship and a shared e-commerce platform. This phenomenal program was established by a Punahou junior and my fellow diving comrade, Anna. During practice, she offered me a spot in her collective. After a simple application process, I was officially part of her group!

This collaboration has only recently been initiated, but I've already planned to attend a workshop at The Hub Coworking Hawaii that features two incredible local female entrepreneurs who will share their experiences and tips for success. After their talks, attendees have more time for solo work so they can focus on developing their business ideas. I expect more action to come in the future, so stay tuned!

Visit my section on the Lokahi Collective, which is able to handle transactions (payment, shipping, etc)!
Unfortunately, my business is at a developmental stage and is not currently ready to pay an expensive $17+ monthly fee for an online website, hence the Wix advertising.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
